What GreenQR Link Analytics Shows—and What It Does Not
GreenQR Link reports scan activity and page activity, together with technical and geographic summaries. These signals are useful for spotting patterns, but they do not identify an individual or prove why someone scanned.
Analytics currently available
The product currently lists the following analytics categories. Availability of a specific value depends on whether the browser or source provides the underlying information.
Scan activity
Shows activity recorded when a GreenQR Link QR code is used. It can help you see whether activity changes over time.
It does not prove: A scan is not proof of a sale, enquiry, or unique person. One person may scan more than once.
Pageviews and visitors
Pageviews count page loads; visitor reporting estimates how many visitors generated that activity.
It does not prove: Neither number identifies a customer or explains what the visitor did after leaving the page.
Countries and cities
Provides a geographic summary of recorded activity, which may help you notice broad regional patterns.
It does not prove: Location data is approximate. It should not be treated as a person’s exact location or address.
Referrers and UTMs
Referrer and UTM information can show a reported source or campaign label when that information is available.
It does not prove: Some visits have no useful referrer. UTMs only help when tagged links are set up and used consistently.
Devices, systems, browsers, and languages
Summarizes the technical environment used to open a page, such as mobile versus desktop or browser type.
It does not prove: These categories describe technology, not a visitor’s identity, intent, or satisfaction.
Free and Pro limits
Analytics history is retained for a limited period. The current plan table lists one month of statistics retention on Free and three months on Pro.
The same table lists one QR code on Free and five QR codes on Pro. These are limits—not unlimited allowances. Record the comparisons you need before older data falls outside your plan’s retention window.

What QR analytics can and cannot tell you
Treat analytics as evidence to investigate, not as a complete explanation of customer behavior.
Can help you see
Show whether recorded activity increased or decreased during the period you are reviewing.
Cannot prove
Prove what caused the change without a controlled comparison and other business context.
Can help you see
Reveal broad patterns in location, device, browser, language, referrer, and UTM data when available.
Cannot prove
Identify a person, provide an exact address, or explain why that person visited.
Can help you see
Help you compare separate periods or separately organized campaigns.
Cannot prove
Tell which physical sign produced a scan when the same QR code is printed in several places.
A simple business example
Example: A shop places the same QR code at the checkout and on a weekend handout. Its pageviews rise during the weekend. That suggests the combined promotion may have increased activity.
The data does not show whether the checkout sign or the handout caused the increase, because both placements used the same code. It also does not show how many visitors purchased. The owner can still use the pattern to form a better next test: change only one placement, keep the time period comparable, and review the next result.
Review the data with context
Choose a useful date range, note what changed in your promotion, and avoid drawing a conclusion from one number alone.
